4 days in Boulder and Colorado Springs (Colorado)

June 2010

Colorado, home of the Rocky Mountains “Rockies,” offers active sports during the summer and winter.  In the summer, you can hike the various trails in Boulder or enjoy white-water rafting in the Royal Gorge.  In the winter, you can go skiing in Aspen or dog sledding in the Rockies. Despite the many activities Colorado offers, I took a more laid-back approach and enjoyed the natural scenery. You can call it lazy, but sometimes you have to let the athletes enjoy their sports.

One of my favorite experiences was the Garden of the Gods. It was somewhat majestic as we approached the entrance of the park.  The rock formations, made of limestone and sandstone, were like pointed arches of cathedrals.

Here is our itinerary in Colorado:

Day 1:  Denver-Dinner in Downtown area
Day 2:  Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge
Day 3:  Celestial Seasonings Tour, Coors Brewery Tour, Night out in Denver
Day 4:  Boulder city visit

About Jan

In 2004 and 2010, I set aside time to travel the world in 3 parts. In 2004, I traveled to Thailand, Europe, and Pacific Northwest region of the U.S. In 2010, I traveled to 3 continents: Asia, South America, and Africa. I am not sure if I have a fascination with the number 3, but I seem to be constantly traveling by numbers.
