Click of the Week – A lonely island in Brazil

Far far away - Island in Brazil

As I look back on my adventures in South America, the islands near Ilha Grande of Brazil were a highlight of my travels.  Ilha Grande (translation:  Big Island) is located off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state and offers miles of hiking trails with views of coastal towns, beaches, and forests.

It was a sunny day.  We were enjoying the sun rays from our boat trip and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a little island off the distance.  Pure remoteness.  Now that is paradise.

Click of the Week” features the picture of the week and includes a short commentary.

About Jan

In 2004 and 2010, I set aside time to travel the world in 3 parts. In 2004, I traveled to Thailand, Europe, and Pacific Northwest region of the U.S. In 2010, I traveled to 3 continents: Asia, South America, and Africa. I am not sure if I have a fascination with the number 3, but I seem to be constantly traveling by numbers.
